The return.

It has been a while since last time I wrote anything in the blog. Things has been better now since we moved out off Hong Kong last May 2012. Now we have been calling Singapore home for last 7 months. I really got the time to expand my social circle and meeting more people which I always enjoy. One interesting discovery, for me, at the least. The Generation Y. For those of who don't know about generation Y. Is anyone who is born after 1981, which including myself. For the longest time I have been questioning my own identity and personality. My parents always want to mode me to something I am not for the longest time I thought this is my fault. Being different. Till recently I realize being different and unique are the characters of generation Y.

Generation Y.
This group of people are possibility driven, social animal, fan of individualistic, fickle, 10 minute attention expand, dreamer, idealistic and the crazy people who believe they can change the world. All above are true. The last character resonate with me the most. The crazy people who believe they can change the world. So many time I have heard this expression from different age group, mostly someone who is much order than me. Who are more experienced and being around the block much longer. Why they are address this like generation Y. Is it a calling? Is it a prediction? why?

Why we are different.
Unlike our parents and parents before them. Thanks to their hard work and solid foundation. We the generation Y no longer need to survive on daily bases. We have the basic resources for some of us even more. Great education, exposure to the world outside our box, and the financial independent. This is the time to take the world to the next level. I won't agree with expression we are crazy enough to believe we can change the world. I would like to rephrase that. We are resourceful enough that we can change the world.

So generation Y, take the advantage of what our previous generations have left us, take the resource and let it be a brighter future for the generation after all. When they write about that. The history will say it was the generation Y changes the direction of humanity and structure of society.
